Forget about New York, Las Vegas is truly the city that never sleeps. This town is bustling 24 hours a day with constant entertainment and so many places to be.  As Las Vegas locals we are used to new places and experiences popping up all the time.  Naturally, we all gravitate towards the hottest and most talked about places around town.  We find that we’re always on the lookout for hidden gems around the city.  Here are a few of our favorites!

Louis Vuitton Installment at Crystals “ Akhob, by James Turrell”

 “Akhob” by James Turrell, a visual experience unlike any other, is located at the top of Louis Vuitton in the Shops at Crystals. The tour begins with art professionals explaining the history of Louis Vuitton and presenting  all the signature art pieces displayed throughout the store.  Then elevators lead you to  the incredible light show. This mesmerizing experience is definitely one of Las Vegas Best kept secrets and bonus: it’s free!


The Writer’s Block- East Fremont

 The Writer’s Block Book Shop is the only Independent bookstore in Las Vegas. Located in Downtown Las Vegas it offers free writing programs to Las Vegas students and writers.  There are also readings from authors and a bookclub!


Flyboard Las Vegas- Lake Las Vegas Water Sports

 Feeling Adventurous? Head over to Lake Las Vegas and experience the best water sports in Las Vegas. You can escape the heat and spend afternoon Flyboarding or Wakeboarding in their cable park!

Downtown Cocktail Room

 One of the chicest spots in Downtown Las Vegas, the Downtown Cocktail Room offers   delicious, creative, and handcrafted cocktails. The bar/lounge is known for Absinthe (it’s a must try) and the bartenders will enlighten you about all the different types of alcohols. You must visit the Sip n’ Tip, a speakeasy-ish bar nestled in the back right of Downtown Cocktail Room.

The most delicious best kept secret is at Sweet Raku.  As ”Raku” means ”Enjoyment”, Sweet Raku elevates every dessert with their Japanese French style. This gourmet dessert shop offers an innovative dining experience.

 Tucked away in a small private room adjacent to Jaleo’s bustling bar and paella grill, é by José Andrés offers a clever and creative tasting menu of Spanish avant-garde dishes. Accessed through a glass door emblazoned with the letter é, the room is dominated by a steel-topped bar with seating for nine. Set against a dramatic red glass wall and red velvet curtain, the space is a nod to the chef’s concept of cooking as performance.
