We’ve all been there where a space just feels like it is totally lacking something; kind of like it needs to a spruced up a bit. I am the kind of person that draws inspiration from the space around me. When it is disorganized or just not pretty (lol) it definitely effects my creativity and focus. I recently was feeling that way with our offices. It desperately needed a bit of decor, organization, and some love! We’ve rearranged furniture , organized, and redecorated and it feels like a new space. Here are 5 ways you can upgrade your office.
Rearrange Furniture
This is a big one! I think a lot of times we forget that a space can feel completely brand new if you move a bit of furniture around. Try different layouts, anchor large pieces on walls, get creative with storage! We’ve been through a few different layouts with our office. Sometimes it takes a few times to truly get the most out of a space so definitely don’t get discouraged!
Organize
An unorganized office can quickly turn into chaos and effect everyone. Making sure that there is a place for everything and expectations for it to stay organized is crucial. If you don’t have a lot of pre-existing storage, metro shelving is a lifesaver. With bins and a label maker everything can have a place.
Accessorize
Accessorizing and decorating an office can really make it feel homey and more than just a place for work. Incorporating cute accessories like lamps, picture frames, and cute little knick knacks can give the space a bit of a personality. We frequented Home Goods and Target for a lot of cute items and even brought a few things from home.
Wallpaper
This was a game changer for our office. We added some decals from Wall Dressed Up to our focal wall and it added a bit of color and charm to the office. Decals are an easy way to get the wallpaper effect if you want something a little more noncommittal.
Snack Station
If you are like me and my team you probably spend a lot of time in your office. Having a few super quick and healthy snack options at your disposal will save you lot of time. Our snack and a tea station is set up in a little corner. It’s nice to be able to take a break and grab something quick when you need to refocus.
Let me know what you do to revamp a space!
